Woodside Christian Preschool in Yardley recently held its annual Walk A Thon.
Teachers, parents and students walked together around a track in the parking lot, while families pledged support of the children. All funds collected will support two charitable organizations: The Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund and the Mandevu Community School in Zambia.
Woodside Christian Preschool has sponsored the Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund for over 30 years. It provides financial help for parents caring for children with complex medical issues. The funds raised also support the Mandevu Community School in Zambia which is in dire need of a new roof and floor.
The preschoolers were proud of how much they walked during the two-day event. Students from eight classes completed a total of 3,556 laps, and raised close to $7,000 in donations.
“We are so grateful for the generosity of our families,” said Director Sherri Wolf. “It is our desire to offer both the Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund and the Mandevu School in Zambia blessings as we are so blessed in our community.”
