Upper Bucks County Technical School names November Student of the Month

Posted

Tylain Rotenberger was named November’s Student of the Month at Upper Bucks County Technical School.

Rotenberger is a third-year, first honors student in the construction technology program and a senior at Quakertown Community High School.

Last school year, Rotenberger placed first at the SkillsUSA District Competition in Job Skill Demonstration A. He advanced to the SkillsUSA State Competition at Hershey. This year Rotenberger will compete again in either the Job Skill Demonstration or Building Construction competitions with the hopes of making it to states again.

Rotenberger was selected to represent SkillsUSA District 11 as the student speaker at this year’s annual Leadership by Example Breakfast held in October, attended by over 100 regional leaders in business and industry.

M&W Precast employs Rotenberger in Ottsville as part of his Cooperative Education Program. He has been working at M&W as an entry-level construction assistant since August. His main job responsibilities include: setting up wall panels for concrete pouring, troweling concrete, and cutting and building specific items for the building department.

After graduation, Rotenberger plans to attend Pennsylvania College of Technology for four years and earn a bachelor’s degree in construction management.
