Peddler’s Village OctoberFeast to include German-themed food, beverages, entertainment

Editor's note: Due to the weekend weather forecast, Peddler's Village is rescheduling its OctoberFeast event to 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 21 and 22. It was originally planned for this weekend. The entertainment schedule will change slightly. Details will be published this week on the OctoberFeast event page on the Peddler's Village website.

Peddler’s Village in Lahaska will host an OctoberFeast celebration during the weekend of Oct. 14 and 15.

Geared toward visitors of all ages, the festival will include entertainment by the Philadelphia German Brass Band, the Galena Brass Band, and the GTV Almrausch German dancers as well as a beer and food garden.

Activities will include ax throwing for adults; for children there will be pony rides, pumpkin painting, face painting, a bounce house, sand art, lawn games, and more. Rain or shine, the festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission and parking are free.

Food featured in the OctoberFeast garden will include bratwurst, frankfurters, currywurst, Schnitzelwich, kartoffelpuffer, German potato pancakes, and spaetzle.
