The nonprofit Barn Nature Center in Doylestown Township invites the community to “Tegu Time: Pearl’s Birthday Bash.”

Barn Nature Center, located at 1283 Almshouse Road, is dedicated to caring for over 100 re-homed exotic pets and providing environmental education to the community. “We teach children to have respect for all life through fostering connection with our incredible animal ambassadors,” the organization said via email.

Pearl’s Birthday Bash – from 4-5:30 p.m. and 5:30-7 p.m. May 3 – celebrates the 4th birthday of one of the center’s lizards, specifically Pearl the Argentine Black and White Tegu.

It’s a family event with lots of activities for kids, including a cupcake decorating competition, birthday-card-making station, field games, and an educational scavenger hunt where guests can learn more about Tegu.
