Dark-fiction series, “Caleb,” on the menu for Table Talk at Caleb’s American Kitchen

Caleb’s American Kitchen (CAK), a popular BYO restaurant in Lahaska, announced the return of “Table Talk,” featuring local, dark-fiction author Jeff Menapace.

At 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, CAK hosts Menapace to discuss his book series, “Caleb.” Patrons will be treated to a talk about his path to writing dark-fiction along with a three-course prix-fixe menu, which pays homage to the book’s characters. The cost is $50 per person.

Following the dinner, Menapace will commence a book signing. Books will be sold for $10. Reservations are required.

“I discovered the Caleb book series when Jeff posted on our social media about the coincidence of the name Caleb. Of course, I was intrigued, and after connecting, I was inspired to bring back our Table Talk.” said Caleb Lentchner, CAK owner.

“It is an absolute honor to attend such an event,” added Menapace. “I look forward to meeting each and every one of you. Can’t wait!”

A native of the Philadelphia area and a current Bucks County resident, Menapace has published multiple works in both fiction and nonfiction. In 2011, he was the recipient of the Red Adept Reviews Indie Award for Horror. His debut novel, “Bad Games,” was a #1 bestseller that spawned four acclaimed sequels and an option to be developed for a feature film.

The three-course dinner menu includes a:

•Starter: (select one) Cold Noodle Indiana Salad (v) with scallion, sesame, fermented chili, soy; or Rosco’s Chili with beef, bell pepper, fire roasted tomato, pinto beans, coffee, paprika;

•Entree: (select one) “Assassin” Veal Salisbury Steak with demi glaze, caramelized onions, crispy fingerling potatoes, garlic and parsley aioli, seasonal veggies; or Serbian “Pasuli” White Bean Stew (v) with white beans, wild mushrooms, pickled peppers, grilled bread; or Horseradish Herb Encrusted Salmon with black rice salad, romesco, glazed baby carrots;

•Dessert: (select one) Homemade PA Krimpets with butterscotch frosting; or Ice Cream.
