Posted

The Bucks County Chapter of the Board of Associates of Fox Chase Cancer Center is hosting its 26th annual fine art exhibit in memory of George Bramhall at the Inn at Fox Briar Farm (300 Carousel Lane, Peddler’s Village) Nov. 3 and 4.

Proceeds will benefit Dr. Margie Clapper’s research in “Never Smokers Lung Cancer” at Fox Chase Cancer Center.

Art in the Barn will begin with a sponsor preview party from 6-9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3 for 2022-2023 sponsors. The evening will be filled with beautiful works of art created by local artists, to view and purchase, delicious hors d’oeuvres, a specialty cocktail, wine and live music. The show will continue from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, and will be open to the public with free admission. Each artist will donate 35% of their sales to “Never Smokers Lung Cancer Research.”

Raffle tickets can be purchased for a chance to win one of more than 15 original works of art donated by the participating artists. Patrons can apply their raffle tickets to a specific original work of art, thus providing a high chance of winning their favorite piece of art. Raffle tickets are $20 each or three for $50.

Conquering Never Smokers Lung Cancer research is not an impossible dream, but to get there, cancer research needs funding. One in five individuals who are diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer have never smoked and the majority are females. Lung cancer in individuals who have never smoked is now ranked the seventh leading cause of cancer death worldwide, and rates continue to increase.

Art in the Barn Artists are: Sandy Askey Adams, Matt DeProspero, Greg Gaskey, Diane Greenberg, Nanette Kardaszeski, Denise Marshall, Margie Perry, Bob Richey, Ilene Rubin, Sandy Vallely, Helena van Emmerick-Finn, and Steve Zazenksi.

The Bucks County Chapter thanks event chair Denise Marshall as well as the very generous event sponsors and special pledge donors. Visit www.bccfccc.org to find additional information about participation opportunities to support research at Fox Chase Cancer Center.
