Baseball: Golden Hawk Ennis no-hits Owls

Posted

It didn’t matter that Bensalem plated an unearned first-inning run last Thursday hosting Council Rock South.

Golden Hawks senior Chase Ennis, a 6-foot-4 Penn State commit, K’d two Bensalem Owls to end the frame and allowed just one walk the rest of the way in firing an 85-pitch no-hitter. Ennis struck out nine and walked just one.

CR South won 5-1. Reed Curtier’s two-run double in the fourth broke it open and Ennis added an RBI single in the seventh.

At the plate, Ennis led South in doubles last season. Ennis struck out 11 Central Bucks East Patriots last April 19 and struck out seven in 5.2 shutout innings against Pennsbury two weeks prior. Prep Baseball Report has clocked his fastball at 89 mph.
