“Wild ride” comes to an end at Central Bucks West

Posted

The Central Bucks West Class of 2023 covered War Memorial Field in a sea of black and gold as it held its 54th commencement celebration — the second graduation of three CB high schools that day.

The ceremony was held on a sunny June 14 evening.

“Our time at West has been a wild ride,” said Ava Morgan, a senior who welcomed the 465 students that made up the 2023 graduating class.

The graduates boasted impressive academic and extracurricular achievements winning numerous awards and attending various conferences throughout their time at West.

In a heartwarming gesture, the class of 2023 dedicated its class gift, a bench made from skateboards and surfboards to Dominic Testani, a fellow senior who tragically lost his life back in March. Dominic was posthumously honored with his diploma in an emotional moment where the class of 2023 stood up and applauded his legacy.

The commencement concluded with Principal Lyndell Davis quoting “the best musical artist of all time,” Jay-Z. “You’re not a once in a million, you’re once in a lifetime.”
