Warrington Rite Aid next in line for closure

Posted

The Rite Aid at Easton and Street roads in Warrington has been added to a growing list of the chain’s stores to close, according to the company.

A date for the closure was not announced.

The Rite Aid in New Britain’s Town Center on Butler Pike closed in November, as the pharmacy chain continues to struggle financially.

Many of the company’s 255 store closings announced last year have already been carried out and more are expected to follow. At one time Rite Aid operated 2,100 stores in 17 states. Another 400 to 500 locations are expected to close in the coming months.

Rite Aid has said it will forward customer information to neighboring stores and relocate staff to those businesses when it can.
