Preparations are underway for Glen Foerd’s 2023 Wedding Crashers’ Ball, an interactive wedding performance and fundraising event, now in its second year, to be held on Friday, Oct. 27.
Everyone who attends will be crashers at this wedding, which this year joins in “unruly” matrimony star-crossed lovers “Leche Von Milke” and “Lottie Oatmen” whose feuding families are bitter business rivals. Sponsorships are now available, and individual tickets to the ball are on sale.
The 2023 Wedding Crashers’ Ball, created by Philly’s award-winning, women-led inFLUX Theatre Collective has it all: family drama, unexpected visitors, DIY disasters, music by the West Philadelphia Orchestra, and plenty of surprises. Throughout the evening, wedding guests will be enlisted by the performers to help solve (or add to) the problems that arise. Part slapstick, part interactive performance, part physical comedy – this wedding will see if love can prevail when fate and family try to stand in the way.
The evening will include dinner, an open bar, dancing, live music, as well as a silent auction. The event will be catered by Glen Foerd’s Golden Premier Sponsor Jamie Hollander Gourmet Catering. In addition, Miss Pennsylvania, Miranda Moore, will be in attendance sporting her tiara.
Guests are encouraged to wear black tie, old wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, business attire, or in the spirit of Halloween, festive/creative costumes. Valet parking is included. There will be an optional afterparty in Glen Foerd’s vintage rathskeller.
The event will support Glen Foerd’s art, education, and environmental programming, as well as efforts to preserve its 18-acre Delaware River estate that includes seven historic structures dating from the 1850s. Glen Foerd is located 5001 Grant Ave., Philadelphia, just outside Bucks County.
Tickets for the 2023 Wedding Crashers’ Ball are $175 per person, or $200 including the afterparty as an early-bird special until Sept. 22. After that date, the price for the ball will remain at $175 per person; the ball including the afterparty will be $250.
