Tewksbury Historical Juried Art Show and Sale submissions sought

Tewksbury Historical Society will host its 31st Juried Art Show and Sale Saturday, Oct. 7, through Saturday, Oct. 14.

The event will take place at the Zion Lutheran Church, Christian Education Building, 16 Miller Ave., Oldwick, N.J., with an opening reception on Friday evening, Oct. 6.

THS brings together the region’s best fine artists and includes juried, small, and portfolio works, plus photography.

The juried works submission deadline is midnight, Sept. 15. Entries must be original to the show, not having been submitted to any other THS Juried Art Show.

Categories are Natural Environment, Animal Kingdom, Figurative, Still Life/Florals, Abstract/Non-Objective and Built Environment. Any two-dimensional work, including bas-relief and photography, may be submitted. No giclees allowed.

Juror of the Show will be Darren McManus, an exhibiting artist, professional designer and an associate professor in the Arts & Design Department at Raritan Valley Community College. Awards will be based on “Best in Show,” “Best of Tewksbury,” “Marion Katnack Memorial Award,” plus 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and Honorable Mentions in each category.
