Take a Sweet Stroll in Easton

Posted

From noon to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, individuals can embark on a confectionary adventure with Easton’s new Sweet Stroll event, which combines the buzz of a pub crawl with the sweetness of local bakeries.

Serving as a post Valentine’s Day treat, the promotion offers exclusive samples and bites from 10 of the city’s favorite sweet shops. Attendees can stroll through a downtown “dessert” adventure featuring cookies, pastries, cupcakes, pies, muffins, candy, chocolates, artisan breads and more.

Participating businesses include The Modern Crumb, Chocodiem, Fox Bakery, The Modern Bakery, Sweet Girlz, Caramelcorn Shop, Bank Street Creamery, Mia and Maddie’s, Cake and Corolla, Pie and Tart, and Dutchess Cookies.

The Sweet Stroll will include a variety of treats where participants can follow the trail with their “Golden Ticket Passport.” Every bakery stop earns strollers a punch of their passport, entering them automatically into a raffle for a chance to win a prize.

Participants will receive their passports and a “Bakery Box” at the Easton Public Market to begin their stroll. Whisking through each stop with a bite from the participating vendors, those can package their goodies for later indulgence in their bakery box.

And as icing on the cake, the Service Electric Community Room at the Easton Public Market will host various activities, including baking-related demos, and even a cupcake decorating station.

Tickets are $20 and available through Feb. 20. For tickets, visit eventbrite.com.

In the event of heavy snow, a snow day alternative will be scheduled.
