Summer family storytelling festival slated in Lambertville

Posted

Storytelling Arts will hold a summer storytelling festival at the American Legion Post 120 in Lambertville, N.J., from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, offering storytelling performances, live bands, children’s hands-on activities, and a silent auction.

Featured storytellers Bronwyn Bird, Maria LoBlondo and Lillie Chen will share stories that entertain as well as seed empathy and broaden perspectives about the shared human experience. This event will provide funding to the organization’s ongoing storytelling programs in schools and communities.

The American Legion Post is located north of Lambertville, at 320 N. Union St., just in back of the Rago Auction building.

Guests should bring blankets or chairs for the stories and the music by The Crickets, Laurie Vosburg Band, Origami making and Cranky Story making for children. Activities will be both indoors and outdoors for the day. Food and drink can be purchased. A wide range of items are available in the silent auction guaranteed. Festival attendees are asked to make a $10 tax deductible donation from adults to support ongoing programs. Children are admitted free.
