Stahl’s Summer Pottery Festival slated June 19

History and art come together at the 34th annual Stahl’s Summer Pottery Festival, held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 19, at Stahl’s Pottery, 6826 Corning Road, Zionsville.
The event features tours of the site, contemporary pottery and food. Learn about the art of Pennsylvania German redware pottery as carried out by Thomas, Isaac and Russell Stahl. Tour the clay storage room and the workroom where the potters labored from 1934 to 1956.
See the round, stone, beehive, wood-fired kiln where pieces were fired. Inside the house museum discover unique pieces of Stahl’s Pottery as well as family furnishings and traditions.

Visit with 26 potters to view and purchase their unique creations. Watch a pottery demonstration, and take in the country setting.
Admission is $4 per person and free for those under 18; parking is free. A rain date of June 26, is planned. Visit stahlspottery.org for information or call 484-306-3868.
