Sitting commissioners reelected; Democrats keep control of Bucks County

Posted

It was a big night for Democrats Tuesday as the party went 5-0 in contested countywide elections, winning the race for Bucks County commissioner while also grabbing victories in the elections for coroner, clerk of courts, register of wills and treasurer.

Sitting Bucks County Commissioners Diane Ellis-Marseglia and Robert Harvie were reelected by comfortable margins. Gene DiGirolamo will also serve another term as the county’s minority commissioner, out-polling Republican Pamela A. Van Blunk by nearly 5,000 votes.

Democrats Patti Campi, Eileen Hartnett Albillar, Linda Bobrin and Kris Ballerini also won their row office races, each taking between 52% and 53% of the vote against Charles R. Stockert, Jeff Hall Gale, Robyn M. Goodnoe and Sherry Bunch Labs, their respective Republican opponents.
