Bucks County authorities on Saturday morning confirmed an active shooting with several gunshot victims in multiple locations in Falls Township and a carjacking that was reportedly related to the shootings.
Middletown Township Police Department issued an advisory that indicated it was not yet known if the victims were targeted or shot randomly.
U.S. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, who said he was in contact with authorities, indicated in a post on X, formerly Twitter, that the carjacking was related and that police were still searching for the suspect Saturday morning.
Falls and neighboring communities were advised to shelter in place. Middletown Township officials report they directed the Oxford Valley Mall and Sesame Place to close. Target and Insire Credit Union were among a number of local businesses that decided to close until further notice.
