On Sunday, May 14, the Doylestown Rugby Academy middle school girls team defeated West Pitt, 17-5.

Kayla Robinson scored two tries. Shiane Young scored one try. Robinson made one conversion. In the second match, Doylestown lost to an older Knightmare middle school girls team, 20-12. Ashley Kelly and Robinson each scored one try. Robinson added one conversion as well.

The Doylestown Rugby Academy high school girls team defeated host Hollidaysburg in the RugbyPA State Championship semifinals on May 14. The final score was 68-28.

Reaghan King led the team with three tries and Maddie Doyle had two tries. Sydney Haddon, Lilly Fiske, Addy Lacarrubba, Maggie Austin and Savannah Hines each had one try. Nolah Flynn made nine conversions.

The Dragons will take on Knightmare RFC for the RugbyPA State Championship Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at Penn State Berks in Reading.

The Doylestown Rugby Academy junior boys team defeated Coventry, at home, on May 14 in the RugbyPA State Championship semifinals. The Dragons led 19-0 at halftime, and the final score was 24-0.

Doylestown played stout defense all day and tackled very well, as Coventry only threatened to score one time during the entire match. This was the second straight shutout for the Dragons.

Try scorers for Doylestown were: Joey Craig (two), Jackson Reilly (one) and Aaron Kelly (one). Craig kicked two conversions.

Doylestown now moves on to play for the RugbyPA State Championship against LaSalle College High School Sunday at 12:30 p.m. at Penn State Berks in Reading.

The Doylestown Rugby Academy youth boys team lost to host Blackthorn in the RugbyPA State Championship semifinals on May 14. The final score was 12-24.

Try scorers for Doylestown were: Cross Cervellero (one) and Hunter Pulford (one). Conor Cassidy kicked one conversion.

This match marked the end of the season for the Dragons. They finished with an overall record of 5-3, with a third-place finish in the RugbyPA league.
