Posted

As part of the Riverside Symphonia’s 34th season, the symphony will perform a “Musical Celebration of the Holidays” concert at the First Presbyterian Church in Lambertville, N.J., at 7 p.m. Dec. 10.

The Riverside Symphonia’s annual holiday concert traditionally marks the start of the season’s celebrations for many in the area and this year’s presentation will include a host of traditional holiday favorite melodies, Baroque sounds of Messiah, romantic sounds of Tchaikovsky and Wieniawski combined with a Christmas Spiritual Medley featuring beloved tunes such as “Behold That Star,” “Go Tell it On the Mountain,” and “Shout for Joy.”

Riverside Symphonia Music Director Mariusz Smolij noted, “A glorious atmosphere of celebration can be found in the works we are presenting. The lyrical panache of the program will conjure up a feeling of reflection and warmth, and a mood of great joy will radiate for all to hear. Our program will be summed up by an uplifting medley of carols and holiday tunes. Our featured vocalists Emily Margevich and Kevin Godinez will create an experience not to be missed.”

For tickets and information, visit www.riversidesymphonia.org or call 609-397-7300. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the gate the evening of the concert.

The Symphonia would like to thank its concert sponsors and volunteers, including Golden Blossom Honey, The Presser Foundation, the Arthur Judson Foundation, Arts and Letters Foundation, NJM, and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
