Last month, Pennridge’s Jackson Warfel set a new freshman boys Pennsylvania record in the mile at the New Balance Nationals Indoor track and field championships, held in Boston. Warfel finished fourth overall in a time of 4:24.01, which broke the mark set earlier in the season by Penncrest’s Rowan Carr (4:28.31).
