Public comment sought on New Hope-Lambertville bridge project

The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission will accept public comment on the New Hope-Lambertville Toll-Supported Bridge Rehabilitation Project until 4 p.m. June 30.

The commission has made available a host of informational materials regarding the proposed 2024 project on its website: http://www.drjtbc.org/project/newhopelambertville.

Online comments can be made through the website’s contact portal — http://www.drjtbc.org/contact — or by emailing CommunityAffairs@drjtbc.org.

After the comment period ends on June 30, project planning will enter final design.

The bridge’s rehabilitation is expected to include replace the current walkway panels, clean and paint its steel-truss superstructure; repair or replace deteriorated or compromised steel components; upgrade lighting, wiring and security cameras.
