Popular speaker to lead parish mission at Our Lady of Mount Carmel

Posted

The Rev. Larry Richards, a popular conference speaker and pastor from Erie, will conduct a four-day parish mission at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 235 E. State St., Doylestown.

The purpose of the mission is to help people grow in their love for God and give them hope and direction in their daily lives.

“Encounter Christ, Encounter True Love!” will take place Monday, Oct. 9 through Thursday, Oct. 12, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Admission is free, and all from Mount Carmel and the wider area are welcome to attend – for one, two, three or all four nights. There is no registration needed. A freewill offering will be taken on the last night of the mission.

Richards has conducted hundreds of parish missions, conferences, and retreats. He is known to make the love of God real in his presentations. Richards is the founder of The Reason For Our Hope Foundation and has many media presentations, including “The Truth, The Mass Explained, and Confession,” with hundreds of thousands distributed worldwide and now available free of charge at OurHope.TV.

Each night of the parish mission has a different theme:

•Monday night is about knowing God’s love and practical information on how to pray.

•On Tuesday night, the focus is the gift of the Mass and the importance of family. Mass will be celebrated this evening.

•The central theme of Wednesday night is the forgiveness of sins through the Passion of Jesus Christ. The Sacrament of Confession will be available.

•Thursday night is the Healing Service and the beginning of the new life of discipleship.
