Our Lady of Guadalupe teens raise $2,000 for parish in Haiti

Posted

Our Lady of Guadalupe’s Columbian Squires recently hosted Cornhole for Haiti and raised $2,000 for Saint Anne’s Parish in Haiti.

Twenty-four teams competed for gift cards from many local merchants. Columbian Squires is the youth organization of the parish Knights of Columbus. It is comprised of young men, ages 10 to 18, who serve others in the parish and community and have opportunities to demonstrate leadership.

St. Anne’s Parish and St. John Bosco School are located in the mountain village of Boise de Laurence in Haiti with a scattered agrarian population of about 20,000. Our Lady of Guadalupe, of Buckingham, has been providing support through mission trips, donations of supplies, over-the-counter medicine, and money for many years to this Catholic community.
