Friends set Delaware Canal Clean-Up Day

Posted

April 13 is Canal Clean-Up Day at the Delaware Canal State Park. The nonprofit Friends of the Delaware Canal sponsors this annual event to encourage volunteers to clear trash, debris, and brush from the historic waterway and towpath that runs from Bristol to Easton.

Canal Clean-Up Day activities will begin at 9 a.m. and end at noon. Volunteers will be working along the canal’s 58.9-mile length. A complete list of Clean-up Day locations can be found on the Friends’ website. Anyone who wants to participate can choose a location and sign-up online at: https://www.fodc.org/event/canal-clean-up-day-2024/ or contact the Friends at friends@fodc.org.

Volunteers are especially needed in various locations in Bristol Borough, Bristol Township, Falls Township and Morrisville.
