Posted

The NJ Business Immigration Coalition said nominations are open for the annual New Jersey Immigrant Entrepreneur Awards.

The awards celebrate the important role of immigrants in today’s economy and honor the contributions of immigrant business leaders to their communities.

Award categories include growth, advocacy, innovation, sustainability, and leadership, as well as the 2024 Immigrant Entrepreneur of the Year. There is no fee to enter and nominations close on June 1. If you are an immigrant entrepreneur or know an entrepreneur who excels in his or her field, fill out a short nomination form.

Save the date for the awards ceremony on Tuesday, June 25, at The Pines, Edison, N.J.

“The New Jersey Immigrant Entrepreneur Awards were created over a decade ago to highlight the social and economic contributions of New Jersey’s immigrants to communities throughout the state and celebrate the important role of immigrants to today’s economy,” said Katherine Kish, executive director of Einstein’s Alley and one of the founders of the coalition.

“The nominees and honorees represent small mom and pop businesses as well as large corporations; ranging from high-tech firms to professional service providers, from manufacturing operations to restaurants and financial institutions. Combined, they employ hundreds of people and do billions in sales.”

The NJ Business Immigration Coalition is a broad-based coalition of New Jersey chambers, associations and organizations. It promotes sensible immigration reform that supports economic growth, provides New Jersey companies with both the high-skilled and low-skilled talent they need, and allows the integration of immigrants into the economy as consumers, workers, entrepreneurs and citizens.
