Newtown Theatre announces Halloween lineup

The historic Newtown Theatre has something for everyone this Halloween season. Here is the lineup:

“Dueling Pianos Halloween Special” – 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27 – Local husband and wife pianists Steve and Jennifer Luhmann are back for a Halloween-themed special. The night will feature Halloween-themed drink specials, a spookily decorated lobby, a costume contest, and other surprise tricks and treats. The Luhmanns have performed several sold-out shows at the theater over the past two years. Tickets are available at TheNewtownTheatre.com/concerts.

“Ghostbusters” – 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 – Who you gonna call!? See the 1984 supernatural comedy classic that became a phenomenon. Starring Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Rick Moranis, Sigourney Weaver, and Ernie Hudson. Tickets are available starting at 12:30 p.m. on the day of the movie.

“A Night of Silent Terror with Nosferatu” – 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 – See the world’s first vampire film the way it was meant to be seen, with a live musical accompaniment. The night will feature a screening of the silent film classic “Nosferatu” accompanied by Not So Silent Cinema – a chamber music ensemble that performs live music to silent films. “Spooky Mad Science: It’s Alive!!” – 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29 – This high-energy, family friendly science show will feature Halloween-themed experiments, chemical reactions, fantastic forces, amazing demonstrations, and plenty of audience participation. Entertaining and educational for the entire family. Tickets are available at TheNewtownTheatre.com/family.

“Eric Mintel’s Paranormal Projection Room” – 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29 – Mintel and his paranormal TV crew will screen all-new videos from spine-tingling local cases, including a follow-up video about UFOs over Bucks County, “What Waits at the Waterwheel Tavern,” a follow-up video about McCoole’s Red Lion Inn, and the Beast of Bryn Athyn. The night will include a Q&A about the latest investigations and the upcoming season of Eric Mintel Investigates. Tickets are available at TheNewtownTheatre.com/family.
