New cafe opens in Doylestown

Posted

A new cafe has opened in Doylestown.

DTown Cafe is a new breakfast, lunch and pastry shop.

Led by chef Conar Welsh, a Central Bucks East graduate, the cafe is open Monday to Friday in the Doylestown Commerce Center on 2005 S. Easton Road, in the back of Building A.

Many of the food offerings are from family recipes that have been passed down, with a big seller being the pierogies. The pierogies are made old-world-style with a potato dough, and a variety of different fillings, including the popular potato and cheese, sauerkraut and buffalo chicken. They are made fresh, and then frozen for patrons’ convenience.

Dtown Cafe also makes bread daily from scratch, as well as a variety of pastries and confections such as cinnamon buns, cookies, and buttery flaky crust chicken pot pies. It also offers fresh soups made from scratch, salads and hot or cold sandwiches.

Welsh was born and raised in Bucks County and is a graduate of the Le Cordon Bleu Paris. He is proficient in savory cuisine, pastry and bread. Originally inspired and taught to cook by his mother, Lisa, you will now find them working in the cafe together.
