Margaret E. “Peggy” Vasey, 72, of Lambertville, NJ, died on Monday, May 3, 2021, at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Flemington, NJ.

Peggy was a lifelong Lambertville resident. She worked in the warehouse for K-Mart in Doylestown for 15 years before retiring 10 years ago. Earlier she was employed at the Giant Supermarket in New Hope and the York Luggage Company in Lambertville. Peggy was a 
devoted wife, mother and grandmother. With her late husband, Bob, she was an active member at the Lambertville Elks. Peggy was an avid walker, enjoyed scrapbooking and loved solving word puzzles. She was an occasional fisherman. Peggy’s favorite expedition was shopping with the ladies in the family. A woman of faith, she was a member of the Old Rocks Church in West Amwell.

Peggy’s husband Robert Lee Vasey died in January 2020. She was the step-mother of the late Wendy Buchanan; the mother-in-law of the late Robert Finan, Jr. and Harry Buchanan; the daughter of the late Daniel B. and Margaret Hibbitt Orts and the sister of the late Daniel Orts, David Orts and Nancy Moore.

Peggy and Bob are survived by their blended family including their children and their spouses Michael Vasey and his wife Brittany of Perkasie, PA, Nancy Lee Finan of Lambertville, Terri Marriot and her husband Jack of Lambertville and Renee McCormick and her husband Bobby of Lambertville and their 9 grandchildren, nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 1:30 pm at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530 (vhmfh.com).

Interment will follow at Carversville Cemetery, Carversville, PA.There will be calling hours at the funeral home on Saturday, May 15, from 11 am until the start of services.

Masks must be worn and social distancing maintained.
