Malvern School students, staff raise over $130,000 for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation

Posted

Life lessons make a lasting impression when children have opportunities to get involved, not just sit back and listen. That’s the idea behind The Malvern School’s character-building curriculum and philanthropic partnership with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), which take a hands-on approach to teaching young children about the importance of giving back.

Putting these lessons into action, Malvern School students and staff across 27 locations raised $130,768.89 in 2023 alone to help ALSF support children fighting cancer. The Malvern School presented this donation to ALSF at an awards presentation on Thursday, Nov. 9 at the Radisson Hotel Northeast in Trevose.

The Malvern School began partnering with ALSF in 2008. This year’s fundraising activities included hosting lemonade stands, lemon relays, art auctions, family dining events, carnivals and much more.

With the donation, The Malvern School community has raised more than $1.3 million in total for the cause. This support has funded more than 25,000 hours of research, leading toward cures and improved quality of life for children with cancer. The Malvern School’s donations have also contributed to programs like SuperSibs and Travel For Care that help families dealing with a childhood cancer diagnosis.

Malvern School locations that reached their 2023 fundraising goals include Richboro, Horsham, Montgomeryville and Warrington.
