In an exclusive benefit performance for the Bucks County Chapter of the Human Rights Campaign, Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Julie Gold will perform at the Bucks County Playhouse Barn at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 11.
Gold composed the galvanizing classic “From A Distance,” which won a Grammy Award for Song of the Year in 1991. During her one-night-only cabaret show, she will share musical memories and career hits.
Her songs have been covered by a wide range of artists, including Bette Midler, Patti LaBelle, Patti Lupone, Cliff Richard, The Byrds, Lea Salonga and Judy Collins among many others.
