Posted

The Readington River Buffalo Farm in collaboration with Stanton Reformed Church will hold a festival with a magical, Medieval flair from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday (rain date Oct. 21).

The festival will include a 4-acre, walk-through corn maze, hayrides, food court, a saloon serving craft beer and hard seltzer, live music, and craft vendors.

A Medieval Magic Castle will include a Mysterious Forest Walkway, fencing demonstrations, hair braiding, rune stone painting, photo booth with costumes and Medieval Spellcasting Class. Hand-crafted magic wands, princess jewelry and other items will be available for sale in the castle. Everyone entering the castle will receive a free arm cuff.

A special family friendly Witch’s Brew non-alcoholic punch will also be offered for sale.

“This is going to be an extraordinary family event,” said farm owner Scarlett Doyle, “We invite you to wear your medieval costumes if you have them. Come ready to have a good time.”

The entrance for parking is at 42 Woodschurch Road, Flemington, N.J. Parking is $3 per car.

“I’m really excited about the activities like Rune stone painting, fencing demos and the Medieval Wands and Spells class where kids get to join in and cast magic spells to float feathers and turn on a light together,” said event organizer Donna Herb.
