Posted

The Silverman Gallery of Bucks County Impressionist Art presents a collection of recent oil paintings by Pennsylvania artist Jim Rodgers.

The public is invited to join Rodgers for his opening receptions on Saturday, March 16 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Sunday, March 17 from 1 to 4 p.m.,in the gallery in the Buckingham Green Shopping Center, 4920 York Road (Route 202), Holicong, just north of Route 413.

The exhibition covers a wide range of subjects and something from every season – spring gardens, luminous sunsets, and bustling bar scenes to name a few. “Butterfly Garden,” “Garber at the Museum” and “Sunset on Carversville Creek” are great examples of the depth and breadth of what captures’ Rodgers’ attention.

Painting in Hunterdon and Bucks counties over the last 30 years, Rodgers says, “It never gets old. This area allows me to express the true Impressionistic painter inside of me.”

Very much an Impressionist, his paintings draw you in as you enter the gallery, according to Garland. Getting nearer, you can see each and every painterly brushstroke – vivid and masterfully placed. With the Silverman Gallery since 2016, Rodgers’ work has been admired and collected throughout the country.

The collection is available for viewing both online and in person. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Visit online for information.
