Jeanne Chesterton exhibits at Pennswood Art Gallery

“Journey to Now” showcases the paintings of Newtown artist Jeanne Chesterton at the Pennswood Art Gallery, 1382 Newtown Langhorne Road (Route 413), Newtown.

The opening reception is Sunday, March 17 from 3-4:30 p.m. An Artist’s Talk is 2-3 p.m. The paintings will be on view from March 17 through May 5.

The exhibit may be seen online as well. Chesterton’s paintings are quiet in nature and follow in the realist tradition. Her subjects are often everyday objects, artfully arranged at eye level. It is important to her that the subjects interact in a way that creates a dialogue between them and the viewer. The paintings in the exhibit embody this concept.

Chesterton’s paintings have been exhibited in over 200 local and regional shows, including the “Ellarslie Open” at the Trenton City Museum and “The Annual Art Show” at Phillips’ Mill.
