A pop up show featuring Master acrylic artist Joseph Orr is set to open Oct. 14, at Highlands Art Gallery, during Art & Antiques Weekend.
The opening will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 14 and 15, in the gallery located at 41 N. Union St., Lambertville, N.J. It runs through Nov. 14.
Orr will be painting informally both days. This is a rare opportunity to meet him, view his new paintings and observe his painting process. The Lambertville Art & Antiques Weekend, sponsored by the Lambertville Chamber of Commerce, is taking place during the same weekend.
Orr is one of the founders of the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society and is a Master in that organization. He is recognized as an expert in the acrylic painting field.
Orr has written material for art instructional books as well as magazine articles on the acrylic medium. He has almost 50 years of painting experience, and his love of the landscape and rural life translates through color, seasonal change and atmospheric nuances into his paintings. His artwork invites the viewer on a journey through each painting.
