Haycock Community Center to again offer oil painting classes

Posted

Beginner to intermediate oil painting classes taught by artist Christine McHugh are being offered once again at Haycock Community Center.

Explore the art of painting using water mixable oils; they offer all the wonderful qualities of traditional oils without the use of harsh solvents or chemicals.

Fall classes for the six-week course will be held on Thursday evenings from 6 - 8 p.m. Nov. 2 through Dec. 14, at 1014 Old Bethlehem Road, Quakertown. There is no class on Thanksgiving.

The classes will cover the basics of using the artists tools and move along to color mixing, values, composition, light and shadow as you create a painting of an image provided for you.

Whether you are beginning or expanding your journey as an artist, this class is designed to help bring you the knowledge and confidence you need to enjoy the art of creating your own unique paintings.

A materials list will be provided upon registration. The cost is: $180, payable to Christine McHugh via Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, cash or check. Pre-registration is required and is being taken through Oct. 30

Contact McHugh at bigtreestudios@hotmail.com or message her at Big Tree Studios on Facebook.
