The Grundy Library in Bristol invites the community to its Grand Reopening Celebration.
There will be music, food, crafts and lawn games for the whole family from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 24.
Stroll through the renovated garden terraces on the library’s roof and the museum’s reconstructed South Lawn while enjoying the sweet sounds of summer and savoring lunch bites from local eateries.
A ribbon-cutting will start the day’s festivities, followed by opportunities to explore Grundy’s “Library of Things,” see a live 3D printer demonstration, participate in a group aerial shot, and have Calm Waters coffee with the library Director Dana Barber, to learn about the library’s latest improvements.
Plus, Eyes of the Wild will introduce attendees to a selection of visiting animals in the afternoon. No party would be complete without cake, so grab a slice while you’re here.
The day also kicks off sign-ups for the Summer Quest summer reading program. The 2023 theme, “All Together Now,” celebrates diversity and community. All children who sign up will receive a Summer Quest bag with everything they need to track their summer reading for a chance to win two free tickets to Sesame Place.
