Get Your Tail on Trail 30-mile challenge kicks off Feb. 3

Posted

The kickoff to the Get Your Tail on the Trail 30 miles in 30 days Winter Challenge takes place 1-3 p.m. Feb. 3 on the porch of the National Canal Museum in Easton.

Created in 2013 by St. Luke’s University Health Network and the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor, Get Your Tail on the Trail is a free program aimed at helping people of all ages and abilities meet their personal fitness goals and experience the outdoors on local trails via day-to-day challenges, public events and motivating prizes

Guided walks for 1-, 2- and 3-mile loops will be held along the towpath. Walks are scheduled to take off at 1:15 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. Not interested in walking with a group? Individuals can take a self-guided, self-paced walk as well.

Stop by the information table to enter into a lottery for some free SWAG and grab some refreshments and snacks as well. There will be a campfire going and the chance to talk with some health professionals.

There is no rain date for the event so check the website and the Facebook page if the weather indicates the event may be canceled.
