Beans Charitable Foundation renews sponsorship of elite cycling team

Posted

The Fred Beans Charitable Foundation, the giving arm of the Fred Beans Automotive Group, has continued its sponsorship of the Bike Works p/b Fred Beans Elite Cycling Team.

The team develops local athletes to compete in the various disciplines of competitive cycling. A major focus of the team is preparing for and competing in the annual Bucks County Classic, which brings the nation’s best bicycle racers to Doylestown each September.

“We are proud to continue our support of the Bike Works p/b Fred Beans Elite Cycling Team,” said Beth Beans Gilbert, vice president of Fred Beans Automotive Group. “We share a love of transportation and movement, and we both believe that athletic competition contributes to the development of our youth and the health and well-being of our community.”

The Fred Beans Charitable Foundation has supported the Bike Works p/b Fred Beans Elite Cycling Team since 2015. During that time, the team has grown increasingly more competitive on the regional level, won several individual national championships and produced several athletes who’ve moved on to professional teams.

“The Fred Beans Auto Group has been a tremendous supporter of our team,” said Brian Boger, team director of the Bike Works p/b Fred Beans Elite Cycling Team. “Their support has enabled us to compete at the highest level and to provide our local racers with the best possible opportunities to go toe-to-toe with America’s best. We are grateful for their continued support of our mission.”
