Flemington DIY presents: West Jersey Airport, Arklight & Phil Spector’s Gun

Posted

Flemington DIY and local promoter Joey G are hosting a sub underground rock show featuring music from Arklight, West Jersey Airport and Phil Spector’s Gun, from 7-10 p.m. Feb. 25, at 26 Stangl Road, Flemington, N.J.

Arklight is an experimental rock band from Astoria, Queens, N.Y. Utilizing punk energy and the spirit of DIY, they build a tower of haunting atmospherics and metallic noise atop a throbbing, tribal, rhythmic base. They have released cassettes and CDs on experimental labels, along with self-released albums on their Bandcamp page.

West Jersey Airport are a Central New Jersey hard rock and psych rock band fronted by former WPRB DJ and record hawker, Mike W on guitar and vocals. On bass, is Tape Pencil who has toured with Human Adult Band. Debuting on drums will be Mark of the band, Bronco II.

Phil Spector’s Gun is a four-piece, self-proclaimed “Rockinroll sensation” featuring the unique talents of Kevin Brusha, Zack Bowen, Sean Clark and YahnBoi. PSG uses primal rhythms, thick murky riffs and sleazy leads to create a sonic stew for Brusha’s biting yet vulnerable lyrics.
