Final weekend of Makers Alley Juried Exhibition at New Hope Arts

Posted

This weekend is the last opportunity to experience the 4th annual Makers Alley Juried Artists & Artisan Exhibition that will close on Sunday.

The public is invited to view the over 90 accepted works of art created by painters, sculptors, ceramicists, fiber artists, photographers and makers of all disciplines from the Delaware River Valley region. The closing reception will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, at the New Hope Arts center at 2 Stockton Ave. in New Hope.

Free and open to the public, the afternoon begins with an Maker’s Talk by painter Joe Coco on “Halloween, the Moon and Art” at 2 p.m. Coco’s painting, “All Souls Day,” is featured in the show.

“This painting was started on a Halloween full moon night. Capturing the spirit of what the ancient festival ‘All Hallows Eve’ portends was a chance to mingle with the ancestors. A costume helps bridge the gap between the visible and invisible realities of life,” said Coco.

From 3-5 p.m., come celebrate and converse with the exhibiting artists who will share the inspirations for their work and background.

All exhibited artworks are for sale in the gallery and virtually at the Makers Alley online market place. Following the exhibition, visit the new storefront at https://shop.makersalley.org/ to view and purchase any of the exhibited works. Makers

Alley has invested in building a platform to enable Makers Alley artists to easily promote and sell their art online. All the exhibiting artists in the 4th Annual Makers Alley Juried Exhibition are featured.
