The Bucks County District Attorney's Office is investigating an officer-involved shooting that left a 40-year-old man dead in Northampton Township Sunday.
The shooting happened at 7:29 p.m. Nov. 5, in the 500 block of Elm Avenue in Churchville. After the shooting, the man was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A Northampton Township police officer was also treated for injuries sustained in the incident. The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office and its Detectives were notified; they responded and are now leading the investigation.
The District Attorney’s Office said it would make a determination on the shooting once the investigation is complete. Until that time, it said in a statement on Crimewatch, the office would have no further comment and will not release the names of any of the parties involved.
