Ex-Council Rock North teacher gets up to 2 years on sex charges

Posted

Council Rock North High School teacher Steven Allan Struzinski was sentenced Tuesday to 8 to 23 months in county jail and a concurrent four years of probation for sex crimes.

Struzinski, 43, of Plumstead, was arrested in March 2023 at the conclusion of a police investigation into an alleged May 2022 incident in which the teacher reportedly tried to meet a person he believed was a 13-year-old boy for sex but who was actually an adult witness posing as a minor.

The teacher was ultimately charged with criminal attempt to commit involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and criminal attempt to commit unlawful contact with a minor.

The school district placed Struzinski on administrative upon learning of the arrest. He is not currently listed as being among the faculty at the high school.

Police said the investigation started started in March 2023 when an adult witness told Buckingham Township Police that he’d been texting with Struzinski, whom he’d met on a social media dating app.

According to police reports, the witness told Struzinski he was 13 years old but the teacher initiated explicit sexual conversation and solicited a sexual encounter at George Bush Park in Buckingham.

At the agreed-upon time, the witness went to the park and took a photo of a vehicle and its license plate when its occupant arrived. Police said they found the vehicle was registered to Struzinski.
