Encores of Doylestown donates $4,000 to the Salvation Army

Posted

During their most recent luncheon, which was held in October at Bella Tori at the Mansion in Langhorne, the Encores Club of Doylestown presented a check for $4,000 to the regional corps of the Salvation Army.

The Salvation Army offers a variety of services and programs to assist the community. They serve with comprehensive social services, addiction services, enrichment classes for children, and serve as a place of worship every Sunday morning. The Salvation Army Corps of Levittown’s doors are open to all.

The women of Encores of Doylestown also supported the Salvation Army Disaster Relief program during its 2021-2022 season, to assist with relief funds for county residents who were impacted by flooding from the Delaware River.

The Encores Club of Doylestown is a women’s social club whose members reside within Bucks County. Annually the club chooses a nonprofit to support and fundraise for during their monthly luncheon meetings.

The funds for the financial contribution were raised throughout the fall of 2022 and spring of 2023, during the club’s luncheons.
