Elizabeth Costello joins centenarian club

Following the bi-weekly seated exercise class at the Central Bucks Senior Activity Center (CBSAC), Elizabeth “Liz” Costello was surprised by her exercise-mates and members of the center with a birthday cake and associated greetings celebrating her 100th birthday.

Costello was welcomed into the centenarian club by 101-year-old Catherine Longabucco.

Cotello, a Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls alumna, grew up in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia, moved to the Rhawnhurst section of Philly and then became a Doylestown resident. She joined the CBSAC in 2019 and walks the one-quarter mile to her exercise class. She is the grandmother of six and great-grandmother of two.

Since 1965 The Central Bucks Senior Activity Center, located at 700 N. Shady Retreat Road in Doylestown, has been offering numerous programs for senior residents and members including workshops, crafts, exercise and guest speakers presenting lectures on health and wellness.
