Posted

Edward C. Meehan, passed peacefully on March 28, 2024, in the company of his family. He will be joining his wife of 64 years, his partner in life and best friend, Lorraine Meehan (Cummings), who passed away on February 7, 2024. He is survived by his son, Edward C. Meehan, Jr. (Maranna) and daughter, Lisa Meehan (Grey Warner) and grand-children: Sophia Jean Meehan, Tess Marie Meehan, Gabriella Warner as well as step-granddaughters, Katie Warner and Sarah Harms (Chris), great grandchildren Otis and Agnes and dear friend Solomon Patterson.

Ed was born to Edmund and Helen Meehan on November 5, 1936. He had an older brother Richard (Theresa) and two younger sisters: Helen (William Jones) and Kathleen (Leonard Sitkowski). He graduated from West Catholic High School in 1954. He attended Lasalle University, as a night school student and graduated with a degree in Physics in 1960. He co-founded Peripheral Dynamics Incorporated (PDI) in 1969 and worked at a number of operational, sales and engineering positions, finally as its president. Ed retired from PDI in 2007 to focus on his last and favorite job, doting on his grandchildren.

Ed had no regrets. Professionally, he worked with people he admired and respected and felt fortunate to work in an industry that challenged him intellectually and fairly rewarded him. Personally, he met his “love” at a high school mixer and never looked back. 64 years, 2 children, a handful of grandchildren and two great-grandchildren later, he will again be with Lorraine.

A requiem Mass in celebration of his life at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Doylestown, PA on Thursday, April 4th, 2024. Family will receive visitors starting at 9:30 a.m. with services from 10:15 a.m.
