Doylestown’s Ceramic Animal release Christmas EP, set holiday concert

Posted

The “Nasty Boys” of modern psychedelia, Ceramic Animal, announce the release of their first-ever Christmas extended play recording, “Tinkertown: A Christmas Tale,” and the debut of an annual Christmas special titled “One Night in Tinkertown.”

In collaboration with Doylestown’s own Picnics On Pine, this festive extravaganza promises to bring holiday cheer to fans in Bucks County and beyond.

The EP premiered Dec. 8, on all major streaming platforms, and the live Christmas special: “One Night in Tinkertown,” will take place at Puck in Doylestown, Dec. 23. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show runs from 7 to 9 p.m. The band will treat the audience to a mix of their favorite Christmas songs, including covers and originals from their new EP, alongside fan favorites and previews of upcoming tracks from their full-length album scheduled for 2024.

“Tinkertown is a feeling, it’s a mindset, it’s a way of life,” says Dallas Hosey, bassist for the band.

The event promises to be filled with Christmas cheer, featuring festive drinks, free giveaways, and even a special appearance from “Samta.”

This Christmas release marks Ceramic Animal’s first project since “Sweet Unknown” (2022), an album they wrote and recorded with Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys. “Tinkertown: A Christmas Tale” will be the band’s fifth release, and their fourth self-released work. Their full-length album is scheduled for 2024.

Ceramic Animal has toured with the likes of the Black Keys and Band of Horses, and opened for top acts like Weezer, Kesha, Kasabian, Father John Misty, and The Growlers. Their work has been streamed nearly 20 million times on Spotify, and they have been featured on CBS “This Morning,” Rock Band 4, and were awarded “Song of the week” by Rob Thomas earlier this year.

Ceramic Animal is Chris Regan (vox/guitar), Elliott Regan (keys/vox), Erik Regan (drums), Dallas Hosey (bass/vox), and Anthony Marchione (guitar).
