Doylestown Presbyterian Church concert series opens with free performance by Doppelflöte

Posted

Doylestown Presbyterian Church invites the community to the first offering in this season’s Celebrate the Arts Concert Series at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, with a special, free performance by Doppelflöte featuring Melissa Freilich on flute and Vincent M. Ryan on organ.

Freilich and Ryan specialize in concerts that are not just heard but are experienced. This is a family-friendly concert and parents are invited to bring their children at 3 p.m. for a special organ activity led by Ryan.

“Kids are always fascinated by the pipe organ. One of the really great things about this program is the opportunity to build a working pipe organ using the Orgelkids “organ in a box,” said Jason Moore, Doylestown Presbyterian Church’s director of music and the arts. “This program really will be a treat for anyone of any age. The adults will love the organ and flute performance and kids will surely remember the hands-on organ-building experience.”

There is no cost to attend this event. A free-will offering that helps support the Celebrate the Arts Concert Series will be received.

Doylestown Presbyterian Church is located at 127 E. Court St., Doylestown. Visit www.dtownpc.org/cta for this season’s full schedule of concerts and visual arts displays.
