C&N donates $800,000 to benefit local education

Wellsboro-based C&N invested in local education with recent donations totaling $800,000 to area educational improvement, scholarship and pre-kindergarten scholarship organizations.

These donations were made under the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC).

The following organizations in Bucks, Montgomery, Philadelphia and Chester counties were among those presented with checks that will support their investment in education, and ensure the sustained growth and flourishing of local economies. They include:

• Bristol Riverside Theatre - $5,000

• Bucks County Children’s Museum - $5,000

• Bucks County Community College Foundation - $10,000

• Bucks County Free Library - $30,000

• Bucks County Historical Society - $20,000

• St. Joseph/St. Robert School (through Business Leadership Organized for Catholic Schools) - $5,000

• Centennial Education Foundation - $6,900

• Center School - $30,000

• Chester County Futures, Inc. - $5,000

• Congreso de Latinos Unidos, Inc. - $5,000

• Foundation for Learning in Tredyffrin/Easttown - $10,000

• Henkels Foundation - $28,000

• Hepatitis B Foundation - $10,000

• Heritage Conservancy - $10,000

• Lakeside Youth Services (Lakeside Educational Network) - $30,000

• Libertae, Inc. - $35,000

• LOGAN Hope - $2,000

• Main Line Art Center - $15,000

• North Penn School District Educational Foundation - $10,000

• North Penn Valley Boys & Girls Club, Inc. - $30,000

• North Penn YMCA - $20,000

• The Pathway School - $30,000

• Walnut Street Theatre - $10,000

• West Chester Area Education Foundation - $5,000

• YMCA of Bucks County - $20,000.
