Bucks soccer standouts conclude Misericordia season

Three Bucks County products recently completed the season with the women’s soccer team at Misericordia University.

Caitlin Somerville (William Tennent) appeared in 19 games and was the MVP of the MAC Freedom Championship game.

Julia Beck (Villa Joseph Marie) started all 21 matches and was the MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Year. She recorded 11 goals and five assists. She was named to the All-MAC Freedom first team, College Sport Communicators Academic All-District team, the United Soccer Coaches All-Region IV first team and All-American third team. On the defensive end, she anchored a defense that allowed just 17 goals.

MK Peters (Villa Joseph Marie) appeared in 19 games and scored one goal.

The Cougars finished 16-4-1 and captured the MAC Freedom title. They qualified for the NCAA DIII Championships.
