Bucks County Community College sets “Salute to Mothers Scholarship Tea”

Posted

The Bucks County Community College Foundation (BCCCF) hosts its 17th annual “Salute to Mothers Scholarship Tea Event” from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, April 19, on the Newtown campus.

Year after year, the tea raises scholarship funds for current student mothers who attend Bucks County Community College. Guests of the fundraising event can enjoy a tented tea affair situated within the exquisite Tyler Gardens as they are served classic gourmet tea sandwiches, tea, and desserts.

Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite springtime hats, flaunting their millinery best and their support of student mothers. Live entertainment will be provided by violinist and vocalist Claudia Pellegrini. Tickets are $65 each and can be purchased at: http://www.salutetomothers.net/.

“As someone who works directly with the people this scholarship supports, it is particularly meaningful to continue serving on this committee and carry on the great work Betty Tsai started 17 years ago,” said Amy Masgay, Office of Student Affairs, Salute to Mothers Scholarship Tea Planning Committee member. “The generosity of last year’s Salute to Mothers Scholarship Tea attendees and contributors allowed us to support 34 Bucks students in their pursuit of higher education. I’m looking forward to what we can achieve together this year.”

Since its inception, The Mothers Scholarship Tea Event has provided 200 scholarships, representing over $315,000 in support.
