Bucks County Classic races through Doylestown

The Bucks County Classic, Doylestown’s signature cycling event, made a giant splash on Sunday.

Held in conjunction with the Doylestown Arts Festival, the Classic included professional races, amateur races, kids races and a citizens bike parade.

Skylar Schneider of L39ion of Los Angeles won the Doylestown Health Pro Women race, followed by Kim Stoveld of Automatic/ABUS in second place and Samantha Schneider of L39ion of Los Angeles in third place.

Robin Carpenter of L39ion of Los Angeles finished atop the podium in the Thompson Pro Men race. Tyler Stites of Project Echelon cycling team finished second and Kyle Murphy of L39ion of Los Angeles captured third.

Designed by former national champion John Eustice, the 1.4-mile eight- turn course featured 90 feet of climbing per lap, sharp and sweeping turns, high speed descents and an uphill finish.
